We partnered with Vacationer Dubai to deliver a booking engine connecting travellers with luxury properties across Dubai. The platform launched in just six weeks and was built with experimentation in mind, synchronising property data in real time and integrating analytics to test, understand, and optimise user behaviour. This project marked the beginning of an ongoing partnership where we've seen significant increases in revenue and sales through A/B velocity.
The problem
Previously, Vacationer Dubai were relying on Airbnb and Booking.com to manage their bookings. They needed a reliable, user-friendly booking engine that reflected their luxury brand image and streamlined the booking process for their customers. Additionally, they required end-to-end API and payment integrations with Hostaway as well as their other property management systems. They also needded a comprehensive data analytics suite to gain insights into user behaviour and improve the customer experience.

Vacationer Dubai needed to launch a high-performance booking engine at speed, while integrating real-time property data from platforms like Hostaway. The platform had to be scalable to support rapid growth and increasing traffic, while also providing a robust analytics foundation to track user behaviour and optimise the customer journey.

The platform was built with Vue.js and Node.js, running on Kubernetes to support scalable, high-throughput booking traffic. Real-time property synchronisation via web sockets enabled reliable bookings across multiple providers and flexible property management. Designed for experimentation from day one, the platform is continuously optimised through analytics-led insights, A/B testing using Statsig where we delivery 4 experiments per month.
