Project summary
TopFlight helped Learning DNA digitise its assessment and reporting services for schools and families. We developed Exam Access Pro and an AI-assisted reporting tool, turning complex processes into digital workflows and refining both products through stakeholder feedback.
The problem
Manual forms, spreadsheets and repeated document preparation were slowing service delivery. Learning DNA reported that a 360-degree assessment report could take up to two weeks to prepare, and wanted a more efficient digital workflow.
The challenge
Deliver useful first versions quickly while accommodating different user roles, sensitive pupil information and evolving assessment requirements. The products needed to reflect how school staff and assessors work, with the flexibility to adapt as feedback clarified their needs.
The services
We mapped user journeys, designed interfaces and prioritised features through stakeholder reviews. We then built Exam Access Pro workflows for Forms 8 and 9, including dashboards, notifications and PDF generation, alongside an AI-assisted reporting tool that lets staff review and refine drafts before exporting PDFs. Feedback was implemented iteratively, document outputs were refined, and we supported the deployment of each product update.
